Guester is System 01, our AI-native operating system for hospitality and the first of the operating systems The Artifics is building for real-world industries. We think hotels are the right place to start. A property runs many departments at once, passes work between shifts and spreads it across tools that do not share what they know. That combination is the problem an operating system is meant to solve.
Why hospitality first
Start with the departments. An independent hotel has a general manager above teams for the front desk, sales, F&B and housekeeping, each working to its own rhythm. The front desk thinks in arrivals and departures, housekeeping in rooms, sales in accounts. All of them serve the same guests under the same roof.
Then add time. A hotel does not stop at night or pause for the weekend, so work passes from shift to shift and from person to person. The people who use Guester reach for it in the gaps between guests, during shift handovers and in the briefing that opens the day. Context that lives in one person’s head leaves the building when that person goes home.
Then look at the software. The tools a hotel already runs fall into familiar categories such as PMS, channel manager, booking engine, CRM, payments and messaging, which Guester is designed to work above rather than replace. Each of those systems holds part of the truth. None of them holds the operation.
Plenty of businesses face some of these conditions. A hotel faces all of them at once, in front of its guests. If an operating system can carry that, it can carry a great deal. We would rather meet that bar in one industry than claim a lower one in many.
One system for the whole property
Guester ties revenue, distribution, reputation, guest experience and hotel operations together as one intelligent system. For the people inside the hotel, that takes the form of an operating surface: reservations, reviews, guest information and the team’s work in a shared workspace instead of scattered across tabs.
One system does not mean one giant database. It means the front desk, housekeeping and the manager look at the same state of the property and act on it in the same place. When a reservation changes, the people who depend on that change should not have to hear about it secondhand.
It is built for the general manager of an independent hotel or small property and for the department teams around them. Their shared job is keeping tickets, tasks, guest profiles, reservations, reviews and the team itself in hand from one calm surface, instead of hopping between OTA extranets and spreadsheets. Every switch between systems is a place where something can be dropped.
Hotel teams work with AI agents that know the property they serve. Guester AI helps with operational questions and drafts responses to reviews, while responsibility for reviewing and approving them stays with the hotel. The system takes on the preparation. People keep the decisions.
Six capabilities, one context
Guester’s capabilities are revenue intelligence, operations, distribution, reputation, guest experience and AI agents. Written as a list, they look like six separate modules. We read them differently. In a hotel they are one situation seen from different desks.
Take an illustrative case: a guest writes a review saying the anniversary noted on their booking went unmentioned during the stay. That review is a reputation question, an operations question and a guest experience question at once. The reply, the follow-up with the team that missed the note and the update to the guest’s profile all belong to the same event. Separate tools turn them into separate conversations held in separate places.
We read the place of AI agents on that list the same way: beside the other capabilities, not above them. An agent that understands the property needs the same context the team works from. Give it a fragment and it can only offer fragments back.
The same logic runs through the rest of the product. The Morning Brief is designed so a manager can grasp where the property stands in about two minutes, which works only when the context is already shared. The guest portal carries the system into the stay itself, starting from personal stay links that staff create from a reservation.
What System 01 says about what comes next
We treat the name as a statement of method, not a product announcement. To us, the number records an order of work: understand one industry properly before taking on another.
Building for hospitality makes the point concrete. An operating system for hotels has to know how a room moves from checkout to ready and why a review reply speaks for the whole property. None of that knowledge transfers to another industry by default. What transfers is the discipline of learning how an industry operates before building anything that acts inside it.
For a hotel, the consequence is practical. Guester is not a general tool stretched to fit hospitality after the fact. It is a system shaped around how a property runs, from a company that intends to bring the same depth to each industry it takes on. You can see what it covers today at guester.co.
